Wind rating and glazing compliance
Every window and door checked against the job's wind rating, the supplier's limits and the safety-glass rules, with one-click fixes.
The job's wind rating
- Rate each job from the builder's or engineer's plans: an AS 4055 class such as N3 or C2, or the engineer's design pressures
- One default window sill height per job covers the safety-glass rules for every window; doors stand on the floor and need none
- Corner windows and exposed sites are taken into account where the rating system has figures for them
What is checked
- Frame and sash sizes against the supplier's size limits for the wind class
- Mullions, transoms and sliding interlocks against the supplier's loading tables
- The glass in every pane for its size, from the glass supplier's chart or a calculated estimate marked as indicative
- Safety glass for doors and the panes beside them, low glass and wet areas such as bathrooms and showers
- Water resistance, where the supplier gives water figures
Results and fixes
- A plain verdict on every item: Compliant, Review, Needs input, Not rated or Not compliant
- One-click fixes such as a stronger glass for every pane or an extra mullion or transom, and the check runs again
- A part with no supplier data is counted as unchecked beside the verdict, never as a fail
- Change the job's wind rating and every saved item is checked again
- Nothing is ever blocked: you can save, quote and print whatever the result
Setting it up
- Switched on once in Settings; while it is off, nothing changes
- Your supplier's size limits and loading tables are entered once per system from their technical manual, and we can help you set them up
- The wind rating prints on the quotation, the window labels and the glazing certificate
